Azerbaijan prepared for starting investments in tourism in Cuba
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan became interested in offer of Cuba to
invest in the tourism sphere.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic Cuba to
Azerbaijan Marcello Caballero Torres said that Cuba presented its offers
to Azerbaijan on spheres, in which local businessmen would invest.
"We focused, mainly, on the sphere of development of tourism. Cuba has
an island, where it is possible to develop hotel business and we see
that local businessmen are interested in our offer to invest in the
tourism sphere," ambassador said.
According to him, the number of tourists has been grown lately from
Azerbaijan to Cuba.
"In accordance with last data, more than 100 tourists from Azerbaijan
have visited Cuba and it is the sphere, which we should develop," M.
Caballero Torres said.
Let's remind that an agreement on cooperation in the tourism sphere was
signed between Azerbaijan and Cuba.
